NOTE: The Level I categories are reserved for those who have been in the business of faux and decorative finishing for less than one year.  HOWEVER... if you feel your work is on a level to complete at Level II (with those who have generally been in the business for one year or more), you are more than encouraged to do so.

Best Architectural Feature
Faux and Decorative Finish Project:
Any faux or decorative finish, artwork, or stencil work applied to any architectural feature like; mantels, fire places, a niche, columns, detailed architectural build out, door, panels, or anything that may fit into an architectural feature category, either commercial or residential.

Best Furniture or Cabinetry
Faux and Decorative Finish Project:
Any faux or decorative finish, stenciling, or artwork applied to a piece of furniture or cabinetry.

Best Wall or Ceiling
Faux and Decorative Finish Project:
Any faux or decorative finish project applied to a wall or ceiling.

Best Floor
Faux and Decorative Finish Project:
Any faux or decorative finish project applied to a floor.

Best Mural
Faux and Decorative Finish Project:
Any Mural rendering, can be residential or commercial.

Best Stenciling
Faux and Decorative Finish Project:
Any use of stenciling, residential or commercial.

Most Creative Use
of Faux or Decorative Finish, Mural or Trompe L'oeil, or Stenciling Application Project:
No limitations - any possible way that a faux or decorative finish, stenciling, decorative plastering, artwork, or mural or trompe l'oeil painting has been used in a very creative and unusual way.

Most Innovative
Faux and Decorative Finish Sample Creation:
Any innovative new creation of a faux and decorative finish: could be creative ways of layering, use of color, new look or style, or expansion of any existing style.  Your creativity is your only limitation.  NOTE: Entries must supply an essay describing the name of the finish, products used and each process step by step.  Each entry in this category must apply a sample of the finish on a 30" wide x 36" tall hardboard panel for display purposes.  Sizes can vary with prior approval from the Fauxcademy.
