E. Adrienne van Dooren
CEO, Creative Enterprises™
Adrienne van Dooren began her faux career in California. Involved in remodeling
homes, she saw the incredible transformations made possible by paint. Painting
upscale finishes on ugly old floors, kitchen and bath cabinets, tile and walls
transformed 60 year old track houses into show homes and brought top dollar in
resale. As a result, Adrienne decided to specialize in Faux and Murals.
She and her network of artists can match drapery fabric, renovate cabinets and
furniture and transform any room into a show place.

Today, Adrienne is an experienced faux finisher and artist. She is CEO of
Creative Enterprises, an artist cooperative and referral business in Alexandria,
VA. She also teaches and is a guest instructor at various studios around the
country. She was influenced to begin the "House that Faux Built" project by the
Fauxcademy 2004. Motivated by the
cross-fertilization of ideas by so many outstanding artists and attendees, she was then
inspired by guest speaker, Mark Victor Hansen, who spoke about "Living your Dreams"...
and she has.
In addition to a Masters Degree, Adrienne has completed almost 800 hours in specialty
Faux Finishing studying at the top decorative finishing schools.
