"The House that Faux Built"
E. Adrienne Van Dooren
Join Adrienne van Dooren as she takes you through "The House that Faux Built", a
charitable function supported and completed by some of the nation's top decorative artists,
schools, and product manufacturers! She and a committee of five volunteers bought a
less than desirable fixer–upper house in Arlington, Virginia to create a book that is
intended to show how faux can transform rooms, walls, floors, ceiling, cabinets, and even
the toilet. It includes work by some of the nation's top faux and mural artists and
will serve as an important resource to faux painters, designers and homeowners regarding
the infinite possibilities in renovation, new products, applications, schools and
techniques. 100% of proceeds realized from the sale of tickets and auction and a
portion of the book sales will fund a Habitat House, so there really will be a house-that
faux built.
